I was a wrestler in high school. For four years my peers constantly asked me: "why do you enjoy cutting weight, waking up extra early, and being slammed onto a mat every day?" My answer was always the same. Dedication. For me, I could have cared less about individual rankings or winning matches; I thrived off of my dedication to our training program (i.e. running, lifting weights, and working on wrestling moves). In fact, it was the intensive training from wrestling, which made me want to pursue a career in Health and Fitness.

Once my wrestling career ended, I received my Personal Training certification, and was employed by HealthQuest Physical Therapy. HealthQuest is where I was opened to the field of Physical Therapy, Personal Training, and Functional Movements. I fell in love with working hands­on with patients and helping them live life well. Shortly after I was hired, Stars and Stripes opened for business in July 2013. I immediately fell in love with Olypmic Weightlifting. In June 2015, I went on to become a Level 1 CrossFit Weightlifting Coach, and proud coach of the Stars and Stripes Barbell Club.

By working at Stars and Stripes, I have been honored to meet people of all different health and fitness goals, and was inspired to set an end goal for myself: owning a medical fitness facility, and still having the freedom to be a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
